Books Council of Wales

I was commissioned to design the brand identity for Sit i Ddarllen, a new Welsh-language podcast series from the Books Council of Wales. The podcast encourages listeners to embrace reading as a way to support wellbeing, while offering a more flexible, realistic approach to building reading habits.

The series explores common barriers such as guilt, frustration and lack of motivation, reframing what it means to read in a way that fits naturally into everyday life.

The project began with a discovery phase, exploring brand values, positioning, audience perception and personas. These insights informed the creative direction and overall identity.

The visual concept combines two speech bubbles to form an open book, a simple idea that reflects open, accessible conversations around reading. Following approval, I developed a full set of brand guidelines along with a suite of templates for social and digital use, creating a flexible and consistent system for the podcast going forward.
