Y Cledrau – Fel Hyn Fel Arfer

I was asked by Y Cledrau to create the artwork for their single Fel Hyn Fel Arfer (Like this, as always). I was given complete creative freedom and encouraged to take the artwork in a different direction from their previous release, which made the project especially enjoyable.

I chose a hand-drawn style to give the piece a more personal, expressive feel, which blended well with the music. The concept was inspired by a section of the lyrics:
“I’m still begging for enlightenment
In the dirty mirror
I’m planting massive gardens
Whilst praying for dry weather.”
